Social Contribution Initiatives
One of HANEWFOODS GROUP's fundamental goals is to contribute to society through the steady supply of meat products.
We strive to establish ourselves as a corporate citizen in the regions in which we operate, building a relationship of mutual trust with local societies.
Our contributions
In the city of Sendai, our local processing branch has been collaborating with a local school for special educational needs to provide employment for graduated students. The project was granted public recognition by the city of Sendai in 2011.
HANEWFOODS GROUP has also provided monetary aid in the aftermath of natural disasters such as the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake. After the outbreak of FMD (foot-and-mouth disease) in Japan, we joined hands with farmers to set up a permanent system for disease control, and we supported livestock epidemiology research institutions to make sure that only safe products reach consumers.
We will continue to contribute to society with coexistence with the local community in mind.
